Common questions
YIHA is a secure online tool that lets patients complete guided assessments at home for annual reviews and routine monitoring. It integrates with Medtech Evolution to send structured data directly into the patient's daily record, inbox, screening tab and classifications. The clinician reviews the information and decides what happens next.
In a typical 5,000-patient practice, YIHA can free 120–300 clinical hours per year, or 2–6 hours per week. The estimate is based on the number of patients needing annual reviews for common conditions, multiplied by the 15–20 minutes each review would normally take in an appointment. Results vary with practice size, review volume and patient demographics.
YIHA is hosted in New Zealand on Auckland servers. No AI or machine learning is involved in processing assessments. All clinical logic is rule-based and GP-reviewed. We do not store persistent individual patient data; once the data is delivered to your Medtech system, only anonymous aggregate data is retained for service improvement.
YIHA offers full integration with Medtech Evolution. Setup is straightforward and guided. We treat it like adding a new provider to your system. For practices using a different PMS, the standard email option delivers a structured PDF for each patient at the same price.
No. YIHA uses rule-based clinical logic developed and reviewed by experienced New Zealand GPs (Drs David Moeller and Calum Patrick). There is no artificial intelligence, machine learning, or automated decision-making. The clinician stays in full control of every clinical decision.
Yes. YIHA is designed to support recommended ongoing monitoring for common chronic conditions as outlined by the RNZCGP, Heart Foundation NZ, and other condition-specific authorities. It helps practices deliver proactive, guideline-aligned care efficiently while maintaining full clinical oversight.
A fully featured 4-week trial with setup and ongoing support. Dr David Moeller handles your setup call, and your team can use YIHA with its own patients in its own Medtech environment before making a commitment. If you decide not to continue, the trial ends with no charge.
That is entirely optional. Some practices charge a modest fee, such as $5 per review, and may credit it towards a consultation if the patient still needs to attend. Other practices use YIHA solely for released capacity and improved governance. The practice decides what is appropriate for its patient community.
The monthly plan is NZ$0.05 + GST per enrolled patient per month. For a 5,000-patient practice, that is NZ$250 + GST per month. Sign up before 31 August 2026 to access the launch rate of NZ$0.02 per patient per month (NZ$100 + GST per month for a 5,000-patient practice) for the first 6 months. Full Medtech integration is included.
Available applets include asthma and COPD reviews, depression and anxiety measures (PHQ-9/GAD-7), oral contraceptive and HRT reviews, ADHD and autism screening, WHODAS 2.0 assessment, average home blood pressure monitoring, repeat prescription requests, off-work certificates, compliments and complaints. We add new applets in response to practice demand.
Founded and built by two clinicians: Dr Calum Patrick (GP and Clinical Director, Scotland, who developed the software) and Dr David Moeller (GP, Hawke's Bay, clinical lead and NZ-facing support). Both use the same tools they built. The company is Adjutant Ltd, a New Zealand-registered entity.
