Common questions
YIHA is a secure online tool that lets patients complete guided assessments at home for annual reviews and routine monitoring. It integrates with Medtech Evolution to send structured data directly into the patient's daily record, inbox, screening tab, and classifications. The clinician reviews and decides. No unnecessary appointments, no missed information.
In a typical 5,000-patient practice, YIHA frees 300-400 clinical hours per year. That's 6-8 hours per week. This is based on the number of patients needing annual reviews for common chronic conditions (asthma, hypertension, OCP, mental health) multiplied by the 15-20 minutes each review would normally take in an appointment. Your mileage will vary with practice size and patient demographics.
Fully hosted in New Zealand on Auckland servers. No AI or machine learning is involved in processing assessments. All clinical logic is rule-based and GP-reviewed. We do not store persistent individual patient data; once the data is delivered to your Medtech system, only anonymous aggregate data is retained for service improvement.
YIHA offers full integration with Medtech Evolution. Setup is straightforward and guided. We treat it like adding a new provider to your system. For practices using a different PMS, the standard email option delivers a structured PDF for each patient at the same price.
No. YIHA uses rule-based clinical logic developed and reviewed by experienced New Zealand GPs (Drs David Moeller and Calum Patrick). There is no artificial intelligence, machine learning, or automated decision-making. The clinician stays in full control of every clinical decision.
Yes. YIHA is designed to support recommended ongoing monitoring for common chronic conditions as outlined by the RNZCGP, Heart Foundation NZ, and other condition-specific authorities. It helps practices deliver proactive, guideline-aligned care efficiently while maintaining full clinical oversight.
A fully featured 4-week trial with unlimited support via email and phone. Dr David Moeller personally handles your setup call. You experience YIHA with your own patients in your own Medtech environment before making any commitment. If it doesn't work, the trial ends automatically with no charges.
That's entirely optional. Some practices charge a modest fee, typically $5 per review. Patients pay a fraction of what they'd spend on a standard appointment, and if they still need to come in, that $5 goes toward the consultation fee. Other practices use YIHA purely for the time savings and improved governance. Both approaches work.

Founded and built by two clinicians: Dr Calum Patrick (GP and Clinical Director, Scotland, who developed the software) and Dr David Moeller (GP, Hawke's Bay, clinical lead and NZ-facing support). Both use the same tools they built. The company is Adjutant Ltd, a New Zealand-registered entity.
